Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between naturopathy and Ayurveda retreats?
Naturopathy centres such as Jindal Naturecure, Soukya and Nimba use diet, fasting, water and mud therapies and yoga. Ayurveda retreats such as Kairali, Somatheeram, Kalari Kovilakom and Vaidyagrama follow traditional Ayurvedic treatment. Luxury retreats such as Ananda and Six Senses Vana combine both with spa care.
Do I need a doctor’s advice before a treatment programme?
Many programmes start with a consultation, and some are run as registered hospitals. If you have a medical condition, talk to your own doctor before booking.
